Sterling Homes

Every Home is Different

2014 is here and so far it’s already offered us some adventures. We’ve had wind, rain, snow and sub-zero temperatures for days at a time. Now, I know there are some of you out there that are thinking “Well, what do you expect – you’re in Vermont.” We are in Vermont, the state that we love, and to some extent it is what we expect. That doesn’t change the fact that it’s been an interesting start!

We worked through it though. We made it through the cold snaps, and through the rain and through the wind and snow. I am writing this from my office, so more so I mean the hardworking crews that are out there building the homes made it through that weather. We are very lucky to have the hardworking folks that we do out in the field that make your homes a reality. The reality of how lucky we are becomes much more apparent on those days when the weather is just not what you would wish for.

There’s no time to stop though! We have homes that are coming along and looking to close at the end of March – another that’s sooner than that, and one in May. May might sound like a long ways away but it will be here before we know it. (I should remind myself of that the next time it’s below zero).

We have a lot going on and are showing no signs of slowing down. We’re in the design phase of a couple different homes and are really looking forward to working with them to make their dreams a reality. Their ideas did not fit into any of the home plans that we already had – so we are creating plans for them that fit exactly what they want in a home, every custom detail.

After all, every person is different, every family is different and we all appreciate different elements in a home. This is part of what I love about working for Sterling. We do not try to sell you a home that has marble flooring – if you want to upgrade to marble flooring, we can absolutely make that happen, but if you do not want it, you are not going to be paying for it. A home is not one size fits all, and not everyone wants to spend their money on the same things. We let you be the one that decides what you spend your money on, not the other way around.
