It is the time of year when folks are getting ready to make their New Year’s Resolutions. It’s the time of year when people are looking back on the year 2013 and trying to figure out how it went so fast and what they accomplished this year.
Well, here at Sterling, 2013 has been a very busy year.
In 2013, we have closed on 18 homes in Chittenden County. Six of these homes are in Hinesburg, 11 of them are in South Burlington, and one is in Colchester. We have also had the pleasure of remodeling four homes this year, and helping those folks realize what great potential their existing home had.
In November, Sterling Construction was honored at the Better Homes Awards, as the winner of the Best Website, as well as the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Home Builders and Remodelers Association. This award comes to Sterling Construction after over 30 years in the business, and with both Sterling’s Vice President, Collin Frisbie, and President Bart Frisbie having received the T. Wayne Condor Builder of the Year Award, in 2010 and 1997 respectively.
This year we also moved offices. Our offices were previously located on Williston Road in South Burlington, but feeling the need to grow we relocated to Hinesburg Road in South Burlington where we are currently located. This office offers us space to grow and expand, and might I add has some fantastic views.
Over the course of the summer, we had the welcome addition of Allie to our team for her summer internship. Allie is pursuing a degree in Architecture at Penn State University. We were very lucky to have her as a part of our team this summer, as she brought a fresh set of eyes to our plans and energy to our office.
In an effort to offer even greater service to our clients, we have added the position of “Client Coordinator” to our team. This person (myself), is responsible for as you could guess, coordinating various things with clients. This starts during the Options and Selections process, and I will be there to answer your questions long after Construction has begun. We can talk about everything including the kitchen sink! My whole job is to make sure that our client’s needs are met as best we can.
Looking back on 2013 it has been a great year. Filled with the joy of seeing so many families move into new homes, or realize the potential in their home that they have already grown to love.
Looking into 2014, we currently have 3 homes under construction in South Village, 1 home under construction in Shelburne, and we have recently completed our model home in Thistle Hill in Hinesburg. This model home is now ready for immediate occupancy! We also have two homes that are going through the design/build process and will begin construction in early 2014.
