We made it to March. Every year getting to March 1st is a little bit like a victory in my mind because I know that it is going to start warming up. Warming up this winter is relative, as anything over 0 is in fact “warmer”. Each day we are approaching spring with days that get above freezing, mud season starting, and the snow melting (good and bad – lots of skiers in this office).
We have a lot going on here at Sterling Construction. It’s not uncommon for spring to be busy as people warm up and envision themselves moving into new homes. In South Village we are under construction on a triplex (being built as model homes if you are interested), a duplex and several single family homes. We are also building in Nature’s Way in Essex (as a model home) a great single family home with lower level. Decks and porches are going on, connecting people with the outdoors. There is framing happening as homes begin to take shape and almost palpable excitement that we will soon be able to dig without many feet of frost in the ground.
As these seasons change, I think about how a few months from now when summer changes to fall how many people will be able to sit on the front porch of their new homes and watch the leaves change. I’m pretty sure I know which deck I’ll watch them from, where will you?
