Frequently Asked Questions About Nature’s Way
How many homes are you building?
Sterling has completed 10 homes in Nature’s Way, with three more projects developing. The neighborhood is also shared with Pinewood Developers LLC., who have built another dozen homes. We look forward to further development opportunities that may arise.
How long does it take to build a new home?
It takes about 150 days to build your new home, with the closing date stated in the Options & Selections Addendum. Construction will include a minimum of two on-site orientations with you.
Do you build “green” homes in Nature’s Way?
Absolutely! All homes are built to the discerning standards of the National Green Building Standards. Each home is rated by an independent third party and scored for its construction. Completed homes in Nature’s Way have consistently achieved SILVER as well as some achieving GOLD certification from NGBS.
Is there any warranty on our new home?
Your new home will be covered by a builder warranty for two years. Most structural elements of the home are further covered under manufacturer warranty for extended periods.
Will I be able to inspect my new home before I actually close?
Yes, you will have a minimum of two orientations with us before you close on your home. There will be an orientation prior to hanging sheetrock and an orientation prior to your closing. We will review your new home with you and together create a checklist of any items (if any) that need attention before your closing.
How much are the Association dues?
The current Homeowner’s Association dues for Nature’s way are $50 a year and a one-time $50 Reserve Fund fee. The primary purpose of this fund is to maintain the stormwater treatment ponds. You also have the option to join the neighborhood pool for $195 a year, along with a one-time Capital Improvement fee of $125.
